Dentists Offer Best Practices Guardian Cowra

Childhood is one of the most crucial times for dental health, as this is when your little one will grow the teeth they will need to live with for the rest of their lives.

The Cowra dental practice team recommends having children’s teeth checked at least once a year.

“You can also take advantage of our group billing for children,” says Jennifer Kang, head of the firm.

“This can get you up to $ 1,000 in free dental care for your children over two years.”

Cowra dental practice began operations in 2014, when the current team of eight, including two dentists, took over the practice from Juan Varela.

The team offers a holistic approach to dental care, starting with a thorough cleaning and check-up.

“Regular visits with the whole family will keep you up to date with any potential dental issues you are facing,” says Jennifer.

“Our primary goal at Cowra Dental Practice is to provide quality dental care in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere while providing the highest level of professionalism and service.

“We listen to our patients and develop a treatment plan, based on individual needs and concerns, that aims to improve your smile and help you maintain your natural teeth for life.

At Cowra Dental Practice, technology plays a vital role in providing patients with the highest standards of care.

Cone beam CT imaging allows the team to assess impacted and additional teeth, plan dental implants, examine dental pathology and trauma, and assess TM joint arthritis.

There are also applications in endodontics and orthodontics.

“Patients no longer benefit from trips out of town for CT scans when needed,” says Jennifer.

“We also have intraoral cameras. They are small, hand-held cameras that fit comfortably in your mouth and display the image on a monitor.

“This allows us to show you exactly where treatment may be needed.

“Digital x-rays emit much weaker radiation than traditional x-rays.

“The images can then be magnified and displayed on the screen, allowing for accurate diagnosis and easier explanation of your treatment needs.”

Cowra Dental currently offers braces with Dr Han Kang. He also plans to start Invisalign in the near future.

“We offer a full range of dental treatments, including cleaning, fillings, RCTs, implants and orthodontics,” says Jennifer.

Dr Han Kang has two children aged nine and six and is therefore able to understand and allay the fear that many children have of the dentist.
